Stacey Solomon 'can't wait to get jet wash out' after inviting neighbours to use pool

Stacey Solomon has joked she “can’t wait to get the jet wash out” after turning her swimming pool into the “village lido” for the day.

The Loose Women star kindly let neighbours cool down in her new pool after temperatures soared to 40C, making Tuesday the hottest day in the UK ever.

Sharing a snap of herself enjoying an ice cold drink while the local kids splashed about in the pool at Pickle Cottage she wrote: “Hello heatwave.”

She continued: “All the boys schools got cancelled this morning because of the heat so we welcomed all of the kids to Pickle Cottage pool.

“It’s been a crazzzzyyy day in what has turned into the village lido. I hope you’re all ok in this heat.”

Another pic showed the state of the tiles after, which Stacey captioned: “Pool closed, toes & thumbs up to that.”

The 32-year-old, who is famed for her tidiness, told her 5.3 million Instagram followers: “I’m not being sarcastic when I say I can’t wait to get the jet wash out tomorrow” followed by a laughing face emoji.

Stacey also revealed in her stories that she was having a hair transformation ahead of her wedding to Joe Swash at the end of this month.

Posting a video of her currently red hair with what looked like dye on it, she said: “Also today I’m starting hair process ahead of the wedding.

“It’s going to be a long process so we wanted to start early to make sure it all goes ok!”

She added: “Was planning on doing some wedding prep in between but I’m throwing that out the window in this heat. I’ll try starting tomorrow.”

Stacey and Joe will tie the knot at their £1.2 million Essex mansion, which they have affectionately dubbed Pickle Cottage.

It is thought the wedding will happen on the last weekend of July after Joe let the cat out the bag.

Although exact details have been kept under wraps, Stacey and Joe have revealed some things about their big day .

Instead of a church, they managed to obtain a special marriage licence so they could have the ceremony in their garden.

Stacey will walk down an outside aisle before exchanging vows with Joe under a pergola.

Afterwards guests will be invited to eat dinner in an outdoor area of the garden, while later in the evening Stacey has said she “really wants a karaoke” for the entertainment.

Stacey and Joe's children will of course play a special part in the upcoming nuptials.

The couple are proud parents to Rex, three, and nine-month-old Rose. While Stacey has sons Zachary, 14, and Leighton, 10, from previous relationships, Joe has a 15-year-old son called Harry with his ex.

Revealing the role they will play in the wedding, Stacey said: "We’ve got four boys and they will all just be our page boys. We didn’t want to make one the best man or give one a special role. But I would like them all to walk me down the aisle with my dad.”

Even the couple's two dogs Peanut and Teddy are part of the wedding.

"They’re getting suits made and they’ll have bow ties. I made a wedding planning book and a whole double page is dedicated to the dogs", Stacey added.
