Stacey Dooley confessed that a Masked Dancer clue that led the panel in a completely different direction was a complete 'red herring' as she was voted off the show and unmasked as Prawn Cocktail.
Journalist Stacey is of course no stranger to a TV dancing competition, having won alongside Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, alongside now boyfriend Kevin Clifton. However, her two routines on Saturday night's episode of The Masked Dancer, her main performance and her Dance Jam, weren't enough to secure her another week in the show.
While the likes of Candlestick and Pillar and Post were voted through by the studio audience, Prawn Cocktail and Scissors, who many viewers are now convinced is Alexandra Burke, had to battle it out in the bottom two. And, sadly for Stacey, her dance to Girls Just Want to Have Fun, didn't sway the panel Prawn Cocktails way, with them instead choosing to save Scissors.

Oti Mabuse, a pro on Strictly when Stacey won and Jonathan Ross both were sure it was her hiding behind the mask and they proved to be right when, after chants of 'take it off, take it off,' she took off the elaborate and very colourful disguise to reveal herself underneath.
Stacey told host Joel Dommett she'd had "an absolute ball" on the programme, before turning to the matter of some of the clues in her VTs. Davina asked what an earlier fitness clue was eluding to and, being totally up front with her answer, Stacey responded: "I'm not fiT at all! They just threw that in to throw you off."
Discussing some of the other clues that appeared during Prawn Cocktail's time on The Masked Dancer, Stacey said the planes were in reference to the fact she used to work at Luton Airport, while 'being slow to collect awards' was about the fat it took her ages to actually receive her MBE.
