Stacey Dooley made her first television appearance since she announced she's expecting her first baby with her former Strictly Come Dancing boyfriend Kevin Clifton.
The happy news was announced on Stacey's Instagram page as she shared the first snap of her blossoming bump and said she was ‘delighted’ with the news.
The documentarian appeared on BBC One’s The One Show on Friday evening and was sat in the studio alongside vet Noel Fitzpatrick with hosts Roman Kemp and Michelle Ackerly.
Roman opened the show by saying: “Stacey we have to start by saying congratulations. Big news today from yourself and Kevin.”
Stacey looked radiant in a loosely fitting high-neck emerald green dress as she replied: “I can’t quite believe it. I’m delighted.”
She continued: “I feel really lucky, because I’m 35, so you never take it for granted. But I can’t quite believe I’m going to be in charge of a little human being. Thank you.”
Earlier in the day, the 35-year-old took to her Instagram to share the happy news with fans, writing: “Gaaaaaaang.....We are having a baby! So b***dy delighted.”
Turning her attention to boyfriend Kevin, who she met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, Stacey gushed: “Kev, you're magic, I love youuuu.”
The TV star then joked that being pregnant had become ‘impossible to hide’, adding: “If one more person asks me if I've had my t**s done in LA I'm gonna scream.”
Delighted dad-to-be Kevin shared the same photo with his social media fans and tweeted: “We're having a baby. Look how beautiful Stacey looks.”
The pair were immediately swamped with congratulatory messages from a host of Strictly stars past and present.
Stacey and Kevin were first introduced when they were paired on the 2018 series of Strictly, which they went on to win.
Months after the show, Stacey announced she had split with her personal trainer boyfriend of five years with her romance with 'King Kev', as she affectionately calls the dancer, revealed shortly after in 2019.
Kevin was newly single when he was partnered with Stacey, after splitting with second wife Karen Hauer before the series began.
After dodging criticism from Stacey's ex, who branded Kevin a 'snake' after their romance came to light, the loved-up pair have gone from strength to strength – moving into their own love nest before announcing their first baby today.
