Thousands of people will visit Bristol this weekend for the first St Pauls Carnival since 2019. The legendary celebration of African Caribbean culture kicks of at midday today (Saturday, July 1) and will run through until 10pm, with revellers set to let their hair down at official after parties once the sun has gone down.
As with any outdoor event, weather plays a major part in the festivities. So far, it's good news for St Pauls Carnival attendees, as it looks as though it'll be a dry day with reasonable temperatures.
According to the Met Office, temperatures won't be too balmy, with highs of 20 degrees Celsius throughout the day. Thankfully, there is a slim chance of a downpour, with the probability of rain standing at less than five per cent.
