This year’s St Patrick’s Day parade in London is to take place on Sunday March 16, with more than 50,000 revellers expected to come out and celebrate. But in truth, the London the celebrations tend to get going a little earlier — often the parties begin kicking off on the Friday — and this year will last to the day itself, on Monday March 17.
All the pageantry, dancing, floats and live music will begin at Hyde Park Corner before moving along Piccadilly, past St James’s Street, Pall Mall and Whitehall, before ending up at Trafalgar Square where the festivities continue.
