Lewis Jamieson says it was a no-brainer to return to Clyde - as parent club St Mirren are keen for him to be playing every week.
The young attacker was signed just hours before Tuesday's 2-2 League One draw with Airdrie and started the match, playing an hour after a busy day of confirming his move.
Jamieson spent the first half of this season at Championship club Inverness, scoring three goals with three assists in 13 games at Caley Thistle.
He netted four times in 15 matches at Clyde last season and says a Buddies role is on his mind.
Jamieson explained: "I am happy to be back. The full point of coming here is to get games regularly, looking forward to the next season at St Mirren.
"I want to breakthrough. But it's great to get back into playing football again. I had an incline I would play.
"I am happy to be back and happy to get started quickly. I was a bit tired towards the end but the lads dug in. We need to keep getting points here and there and we will be fine."
The Paisley side have told Jamieson that he has to aim for playing each week while out on loan at Broadwood. Clyde are sixth in League One and face Alloa today.
He said: "St Mirren have said to go out and get as many games as I can. I got some games up at Inverness and now I want some here.
"Getting goals is something I want to do so the club stay in a league they deserve to be in. Maybe we can look towards going up the way.
"But for now I am just taking it one game at a time as I am happy to be back."
