St Mirren launch investigation after Rangers fans locked out of Paisley clash

RANGERS say that some of their supporters were denied entry at St Mirren today despite holding valid tickets.

The Ibrox support was housed in the North Stand at the SMiSA Stadium today as their team shared the points with the Buddies.

A statement from Rangers Supporter Liaison Officer Greg Marshall read: "Rangers are extremely concerned that a number of our supporters with valid tickets were denied entry to the North Stand at the SMiSA Stadium this afternoon following the turnstile count reaching capacity.

"Rangers staff immediately raised the issue with St Mirren who have committed to investigate the source of this technical fault.

"St Mirren have also agreed to refund affected supporters on the production of the valid unused match ticket."

On the pitch, Rangers could only gain a point against Saints with a James Tavernier penalty cancelling a Jonah Ayunga goal.
