St Johnstone are set to welcome Adam Montgomery on loan from Celtic.
The 19-year-old is likely to be utilised in a left wing-back role but has previously shown his versatility.
He will come in to bolster manager Callum Davidson’s squad, who are light in that area of the pitch due to injury.
Tony Gallacher and Callum Booth are both not expected to be back fit for the start of the season.
Montgomery, a Scotland international, recently spent time on loan at Aberdeen.
Saints, also set to sign midfielder Graham Carey, are currently in Spain on a training camp until Friday.
