St Johnstone supporter group the Fair City Unity have boycotted the first-half of today's Tayside derby fixture against Dundee United.
Their section in the club's East Stand was empty with a simple banner conveying the message "Against Modern Football" alongside a "£20 is plenty" sign.
The group then returned for the second period with the score at 0-0.
It comes as St Johnstone announced on Friday that they would be handing over three of their four stands to Rangers for their upcoming Scottish Cup clash at McDiarmid Park.
Prices for the fixture were also confirmed with adults having to fork out £30 and concessions £20.
The announcement was met with fierce backlash from Perth fans and there has been talk of a complete boycott for the fixture from Saints supporters.
The Fair City Unity have campaigned throughout the current campaign for Scottish clubs to cap their admission prices at £20.
In August the group called out the prices of Rangers for a league game at Ibrox and they subsequently boycotted.
At the time, the group said: “Whilst society suffers in a cost of living crisis, we feel that clubs are crucial ambassadors to the local community they serve and should be leading in the fight of making watching live football affordable to all. TWENTY’S PLENTY.”
St Johnstone's statement on Friday read: "The following is an update regarding our home match against Rangers in the Scottish Cup.
"The Club can today announce ticketing details for our forthcoming Scottish Cup tie against Rangers at McDiarmid Park on Saturday, 21st January (kick off 5.30pm).
"After talks between both clubs and the police, we can advise that for this particular match, the St Johnstone support will be accommodated in the Main Stand only with the visiting support accessing the three other stands in the stadium. Tickets will be priced at £30 for adults and £20 for concessions.
"All our season ticket holders will be given a priority window to purchase Main Stand tickets for the game and details for this will be announced next week.
"All ticket sales for the visiting support areas of the ground will be handled only by Rangers FC.
"Ahead of this announcement, talks have been held with some of our supporter groups to explain why we have taken the steps we have for this particular match.
"We realise these arrangements will inconvenience some of our supporters and apologise for this but we look forward to a healthy backing from the Main Stand as we have enjoyed on similar such occasions in the past."
