The inaugural Glasgow Fair is open in St Enoch Square and is aiming to get passers by into the festive spirit.
A number of rides are available for those looking for a thrill including the Blizzard ride, which reaches speeds of up to 70mph, Santa's Runaway Train and the Square Helter Skelter.
After working up an appetite Christmas lovers can grab a bite at a number of food and drink stands, giants puds from the Yorkshire Pudding Company, Turkish food from Turkiye Efes Restaurant and a award-winning drinks Papas Mineral Co.

There will also be a pink van preparing fresh churros with al the toppings.
Marc Taylor, CEO of Scotland’s Theme Park said: “I think anyone who has visited Glasgow at this time of year won’t be surprised at this well-deserved recognition.
"There’s no place like it. The atmosphere’s fantastic and there’s so much to see and do. Just walking around and taking in all the decorations puts you in the festive spirit.”
The new fair is open from 10am to 9pm each day, with even more opening on December 1.
