The paddling pool in St Andrew's Park in Bishopston has reopened for the summer season. In a post shared on Facebook group, locals said that they were excited to try it out, with several adding that it was 'looking great'.
The pool, is a firm favourite with families in the area and many visit during the summer. In the past, reviewers say it has been the perfect way to keep kids busy on warmer days, while also enjoying a bite at the nearby cafe.
Residents were left without the pool for years during the Covid-19 pandemic, as it closed for renovations in 2020 and was left surrounded by fencing which many neighbours called an 'eyesore'. Residents feared the pool would not reopen after the coronavirus pandemic meant there were delays to renovation work.

Since those initial repairs, the pool now opens on a seasonal basis. In another post shared to Facebook on June 12, one resident shared an image of workmen removing large fencing from around the site, writing that the 'workman said it opens today'.
