Sri Lanka squad update: Asitha Fernando replaces injured Dushmantha Chameera for India series

NEW DELHI: Pacer Asitha Fernando has been called up to the Sri Lanka squad to replace the injured Dushmantha Chameera for the upcoming home white-ball series against India starting on July 27. Chameera has been ruled out due to bronchitis and a respiratory infection.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) confirmed this update on X (formerly Twitter): "Dushmantha Chameera is still recovering from a bronchitis and respiratory infection he contracted, and hence will not be part of the T20I series. Asitha Fernando joins the squad in place of Chameera. #SLvIND."
