NEW DELHI: Having already retained their star players, last year's finalists Sunrisers Hyderabad had a terrific outing at Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where they picked a total of 15 players to put up a solid squad.
Australians Travis Head, Pat Cummins, South African Henirch Klassen and Indians Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Kumar Reddy were already retained by SRH ahead of the auction and it had cost them a whopping Rs 75 crores combined.
But at the auction, the franchise made terrific use of their remaining Rs 45 crore purse to pick quality players along with some young talents.
Ishan Kishan and Mohammed Shami were the top buys for SRH at the auction but they also landed the likes of Harshal Patel, Abhinav Manohar and Adam Zampa, providing the side an all-round stability.
After making the news with their star picks on the opening day, the franchise had a quiet Day 2 where they put in their money to strengthen their bench strength.
