MUMBAI: With the Paris Olympics hoopla now behind us, it's time to look ahead to the Los Angeles in 2028, especially for squash, which will be making its debut at the Games four years down the line. India performed well in the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, securing two gold, one silver, and two bronze medals. Therefore, it's imperative to start working on a plan for the Olympics.
The general secretary of the Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI), Cyrus Poncha, says the SRFI is already looking ahead. "With the Paris Games over, we will sit down with the sports ministry and Sports Authority of India (SAI) officials. We plan to host more tournaments in the country over the next four years," said Poncha.
