SRF Ltd announces ₹600 crore aluminium foil manufacturing plant in Madhya Pradesh for battery applications

SRF Ltd on Wednesday announced its board approval for a proposed ₹600 crore aluminium foil manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh.

According to the company’s regulatory filing, the factory will manufacture aluminium foil for lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery applications utilised in energy storage and electric vehicles. The plant will be operated by the firm’s wholly-owned subsidiary SRF Altech Ltd.
