Spurs player ratings: Super Son makes hat-trick point, Sanchez struggles but Bentancur dazzles

Hugo Lloris

He Saved Tielemans' first penalty superbly, but he'd moved just off his line beforehand, so it was retaken and beyond his grasp. Made another one low down in the first half. Couldn't do much about Maddison's looping shot but made a flying save to deny Daka's header and a couple more late on. 8

Davinson Sanchez

Dived in to concede an early penalty for a foul on Justin. He was then harshly adjudged to have fouled Ward when a corner flew into the Leicester net. Before the break, he saw the Foxes' goalkeeper tip his header onto the crossbar. Let Daka get ahead of him to send a header at goal before the hour mark and was taken off shortly after. 5

Eric Dier

Grabbed his second goal of the season to celebrate his England return with a flicked header into the far corner of the net on 21 minutes from Perisic's corner. He could have got closer to Maddison for Leicester's second. 7

Clement Lenglet

Nowhere to be seen for Maddison's second goal when Sessegnon needed back-up down that flank. A solid display around that but not as eye-catching as his previous performances. 6

Ivan Perisic

On the right and dived in poorly in the build-up to Leicester's penalty. However, he made up for it quickly with strong raids down the right and then another assist to his name with a curling corner for Dier to head home. Switched to the left before coming off before the hour mark. Grabbed that assist and put in the cross for Sanchez's header, which was tipped onto the crossbar but also had some iffy moments defensively. 7

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Some off-note passing in the first half as Spurs looked open in the midfield, but he improved as the game wore on and ended up providing an assist for Son's third goal. 7

Rodrigo Bentancur

Plenty of sloppy moments in the first half but early in the second period won the ball back in midfield from Wilfred Ndidi, ran all the way through and stroked home his first goal for the club. Then set up Son for his second goal to complete a superb second half. 9

Ryan Sessegnon

Got down the left well early on but was beaten too easily down his flank by Castagne in the build-up to Leicester's second goal. Switched to the right after that before coming back to the left in the second half. Worked hard but didn't do quite enough in the final third. 6

Dejan Kulusevski

Back in the team and grabbed an assist within nine minutes with a trademark cross after cutting in for Kane to head home. Faded as the game wore on and was sacrificed as Conte switched to a 3-5-2. 7

Harry Kane

Nodded home the equaliser at the back post from Kulusevski's pinpoint cross and set up Son's second goal. Had some sloppy moments, but another who improved as the second half wore on, and he and Son looked more like their old selves in the second half. 8

Richarlison

Battled away and won the corner from a lost cause that led to Spurs' second goal. Plenty of endeavours but not much end product. 6

Subs

Emerson Royal

Came on down the right and brought his usual solid defence to the position. 6

Son Heung-min

It was fitting that he would enter the pitch to score the fourth goal, running on to Bentancur's pass and curling a glorious shot into the top right corner to open his account this season. It sparked a huge cheer from around the stadium. It would only get better though, as he curled a left-footer superbly past Ward and then ran on to Hojbjerg's pass and stroked home another to make a hat-trick. What a way to make his point with a 14 minute hat-trick. 10

Cristian Romero

Brought some aggression back to the defence and missed a sitter in front of an open goal at the other end late on, but his blushes were spared by the offside flag being up against Son. 7

Yves Bissouma

Came on and soon responded to those Conte words about him needing to improve in the "defensive aspect" with a perfectly-timed tackle on the edge of the Spurs box. Helped Spurs switch to a 3-5-2 perfectly. 7
