A 20-year-old man accused of murdering a woman in Melbourne's southeast has faced court.
Tia Minhinnick was arrested in the CBD on Monday and has been accused of murdering Angela Huata, 41, in Springvale last week.
Minhinnick on Tuesday faced Melbourne Magistrates Court, where his lawyer Julie McGrath said he needed to be seen by a custody nurse as soon as possible.
He posed a risk of self-harm, had psychiatric issues and was vulnerable in prison due to his age, the court was told.
The 20-year-old is expected to return to court on June 7.
