Springhill Boxing Club duo Josh Mullen and Brandon Murray finished 2022 in style by taking Western District titles.
Mullen fought in the 86kg youth class and recorded an unanimous points victory over Jack Doyle from Barn ABC.
Murray, fighting in the 63.5kg youth category, won his semi-final on points to fae Aiden Rodgers of Southside ABC, and again won on points.
Delighted Frank Delaney, head coach at the Shotts club, said: “Both boys put up a tremendous display and are both making great progress in their boxing careers.
“Everyone at Springhill is very proud of them and it was a great way for the club to finish 2022.”

John Deighan also boxed in this event, but lost on points in a very close fight.
Meanwhile, Kai Grant boxed at a recent show at Hearts’ Tynecastle Stadium in Edinburgh, and recorded a win, his third in as many bouts.
