A leading Nottinghamshire vineyard aiming to "wow" visitors has confirmed dates for Spring and Summer tours. Tour groups will be guided through the Wolds Wine Estate, in Thurlby Lane, Rushcliffe, for an informal lesson about English viticulture and visit the cider orchard and bee hives.
The Public Vineyard Tours and Tastings will run on Saturdays at 11am and are currently set at £22 a head, which includes a tasting of five wines and one craft cider. Wolds Wine Estate’s first wine will not be ready until 2024, so tour runners have said that the tastings will be conducted with wine made from local vineyards to "showcase the potential of the East Midlands as a wine producing region."
Pictures from the Estate show the glorious summer views from the vineyard. During the tour, guests will be able to sample the Estate's craft cider and locally made wines.

Estate owner and founder Rob Kalisiak said: “Our public tours and tastings are the next step in realising our vision to create a leading English vineyard destination. We are thrilled to be able to showcase some fabulous and award winning East Midlands wines for our visitors to try.
"English wine making is going from strength to strength and our hope is that we can educate, inform and wow our visitors with what we do to create a great wine. I’m also very excited to be launching our Wolds Wine Estate craft cider at the tastings which is currently maturing in tanks and tasting delicious.”
