Sport climbing has recently kicked off in Paris, following its successful debut at the Tokyo Olympics. The sport garnered significant attention during the previous Games, captivating spectators with the athletes' remarkable speed and agility.
Janja Garnbret, a renowned Slovenian sport climber, is considered one of the greatest female athletes in the sport's history. Despite overcoming a serious injury, Garnbret is set to compete again this year, aiming to build on her previous gold medal in the combined event.
Prior to the Games, Garnbret expressed her ambitions, stating, 'Once you have one Olympic medal, you always want another one. So I’m working really hard. I just want to be the best. I think this is what keeps me going. I always want to stay on top.'
The men's boulder and lead semifinals are currently in progress, with Garnbret scheduled to begin her competition in the women's event tomorrow.
