While we're all for popcorn-filled movie nights as the spooky season draws in, sometimes they just don't last long enough. Instead, why not snuggle down with a slow-burning horror series to see you through a whole weekend?
Apple TV+ is really coming into its own with some incredible series, including Ted Lasso, The Morning Show and Bad Sisters. With huge names like Tom Hanks, Jason Mamoa and Octavia Spencer on the books, there's no end to the great quality films and TV shows to watch.
But with Halloween looming, you'd be forgiven for searching out the spooky on the platform. Thankfully we've taken some of the stress out of searching and picked out three TV series that will keep you clinging to the edge of your seat for a weekend.

1. Lisey's Story
Based on the book by the king of horror Stephen King, Lisey's Story tackles both horror and romance. At eight episodes long, all of which were also written by King, it's enough to keep you busy for a weekend, and the scares woven into the story are some of its best bits.
King once described Lisey's Story as one of his all-time favourites, and it's promising that the author himself had a hand in this series. But as Bustle's Brad Witter advises: "All things considered, you might want to watch Lisey’s Story with the lights on".
2. Servant
If you're a fan of the supernatural, Servant might be for you. Clocking up more than 30 episodes over three seasons, M Night Shyamalan's Servant stars Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell and Rupert Grint and follows a grieving couple opens their home to a mysterious force.
3. Calls
Told through a series of interconnected phone conversations, this groundbreaking series chronicles the mysterious story of a group of strangers whose lives are thrown into disarray in the lead-up to an apocalyptic event. Its single season has nine episodes and each is only 15 to 20 minutes long, so one sitting is more than enough.
