Spooky comedy musical is creeping it’s way on to Co Antrim stage

If you are looking for something different to enjoy this Easter break, a spooky new comedy musical is set to rock the Theatre at The Mill this month.

The Goodies, The Badies and The Uglies is a "crazy" new stage show that is "all about the gold", written by singer-songwriter Gary Greenfield.

Running on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8 at the Newtownabbey theatre, the musical is suitable for ages 12 and over.

A description of the show reads: "A weary, bedraggled old man, staggers into a pub somewhere in central Ireland, during the Summer of 1968, claiming to have been deliberately poisoned, and to be only minutes away from certain death.

"He swiftly reveals to some of the colourful characters of the pub, that he is privy to information regarding the whereabouts of a large stash of buried gold, just lying there, in an old spooky hidden away, abandoned pagan graveyard, just waiting to be claimed.

"Thus erupts a madcap fun-filled farce, involving the likes of a gifted idiot and his two constantly bickering companions, a wicked witch, an unscrupulous church reverend, a penny pinching pub landlady, a deranged evil villain, a telepathic teddy bear and a debt ridden boyfriend with his frivolous girlfriend and her scheming overbearing mother.

"They scramble to outwit one another, in their perilous quest, to be the first to seize the ultimate prize."

The show is produced by Suntree Productions and runs for two hours and 40 minutes, including an interval.
