CHENNAI: Spoken English classes will be extended to all schools of Greater Chennai Corporation which has, after a decade, allocated more than ₹100 crore to its education department to implement various schemes and improve the quality of education. Currently, only 20 schools have classes for spoken English.
Each school principal will be granted an imprest amount for minor repairs to ensure the infrastructure is on a par with private institutions.
