A major announcement is expected today for Splendour Festival as organisers hinted that they will reveal which artists will play this year's festival. The festival is now in its 15th year at Wollaton Hall.
Organisers shared that one of the acts that festival fans can expect is one of the most requested in the festival's 15-year history. Another has sold more than 25 million singles worldwide while another act has had more than 10 records that have topped the album charts.

The announcement is expected to come this afternoon at 12noon, with many Splendour attendees guessing who it might be. Last year's festival saw performances from Human League, Richard Ashcroft, Melanie C, Craig David and The Happy Mondays.
It was one of the busiest years on record for the event which saw more than 20,000 people enjoy the sunshine and music at Wollaton Park. This year looks set to be even bigger as the festival celebrates its 15th year.
The festival began in 2008 with performances from Kate Nash and Paolo Nutini. Highlights throughout the years included Calvin Harris; Scissor Sisters; Blondie; Dizzee Rascal; Paloma Faith and The Specials. There have also been performances from local musicians such as Jake Bugg and Alt Blk Era.
