Splash World to reopen after almost four years

Splash World Sefton Council

Sefton Council has said it is making "good progress" in reopening Splash World.

The Southport leisure centre closed in December 2019 for a refurbishment that was only meant to last eight months. Problems grew for the council in October 2022, when contractors working on the refurbishment said they were facing "unforeseen challenges" to complete the work.

Now a source from Sefton Council said they are working towards a Spring reopening date and are close to "welcoming visitors back to Splash World".
