Spider-man actor Tom Holland and his girlfriend, actress Zendaya, have splashed out £3million on a luxury home in the UK.
Hollywood’s hottest couple have decided to make a home for themselves in England, and have got the keys to a six-bed house in London, which is known for being a celeb hotspot.
The couple, who met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, have big renovation plans for their swanky new pad, according to The Mirror.
Their new home will include a gym, cinema and a man cave… or perhaps Spider-Man cave, in Tom’s case.
Tom already owns a three-bed flat in the capital, while Zendaya – star of hit TV series Euphoria – has a £3million home in Los Angeles.
Tom bought the new property in swanky Richmond, South West London, earlier this month. It is four miles from Kingston upon Thames, where Tom was born and grew up.
He and Zendaya – who has British roots – flew in from LA to collect the keys, see Tom’s parents, who live nearby, and plan a summer move.
A source said: “They are over the moon about the property and getting their first home together.
“They are very much in love and wanted their first home to be in London where Tom grew up. Everyone is thrilled for them.”
Renovation firm KGF Group will lead the rumoured £250,000 do-up.
The source continued: “Tom has made it clear he wants hi-tech security all around the premises, starting with an 8ft steel security gate on the drive. He was also very specific about his man cave and the cinema room.
“The plan is for them to move in after renovation is completed, probably late summer.”
Richmond has been known as London’s Arcadia and is home to a string of A-listers. Its famous residents include Sir Mick Jagger, Angelina Jolie, Sir David Attenborough and Tom Hardy.
It is the only London borough to span the Thames, with more than 20 miles of riverside frontage.
And as many stars have quit LA since the pandemic, more celebs could be on the way.
A source said: “There is definitely a buzz in Richmond now Tom and Zendaya have set up home. It’s great to have them there.”
Money won’t have been much of an issue when the pair went house-hunting. Tom has an estimated wealth of £13million, while Zendaya – who shot to fame in Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up – is believed to be worth around £11million.
Her popularity has soared since she won an Emmy for her role as a drug addict teenager in HBO drama series Euphoria. She also appeared in movie blockbuster The Greatest Showman and the science-fiction epic Dune.
Zendaya has also released music – her Rewrite the Stars collaboration with Zac Efron, from The Greatest Showman soundtrack, received multi-platinum sales globally.
She is a committed social activist too, drawing comparisons with her fellow actress Angelina. In 2015, Zendaya visited South Africa with UNAIDS.
She later held a fundraiser for the Ikageng charity in the township of Soweto to help a family of AIDS orphans.
Zendaya uses social platforms to tackle voting, bullying, body shaming, and racial justice.
She also took part in the Black Lives Matter protests after George Floyd was killed in 2020.
The actress was born in Oakland, California, to teacher parents. But she has Scottish heritage – her great-grandfather was a heroic First World War soldier from Dundee.
Tom has starred in all three films in the Marvel/Sony Spider-Man: Home series. The first – alongside Zendaya – was 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. In 2019 he was in Spider-Man: Far From Home and last month saw Spider-Man: No Way Home pull in huge audiences at cinemas.
After meeting Zendaya in 2016, Tom said: “We are like the best of friends. She’s so great and amazing. I’m a little worried [about dealing with fame... but] Zendaya is super-famous and she’s been through this.
“I just call her up and say, ‘How do I manage being famous?’ I’m very glad I have a friend like her.”
Rumours they were dating surfaced a year later, during the Spider-Man press tour.
But hopes of a romance were dashed when Zendaya and her Euphoria co-star Jacob Elordi were seen holidaying in Greece in August 2019.
Meanwhile, Tom went Instagram-official with girlfriend Nadia Parks in July 2020. Then, a year later, it emerged the couple had split.
Last summer, Tom and Zendaya were linked once more after they were photographed kissing in his car while stopped at a red light in Los Angeles.
They were also snapped attending a pal’s wedding together.
Last October, Zendaya’s actor pal Timothée Chalamet, 26, teased that her “biggest crush” was Tom.
But the Spider-Man star has remained fairly coy about their romance.
In December the actor opened up about their “companionship” and how they collectively deal with fame.
He said: “Two friends coming together, experiencing this world, going through the same problems at the same time, having a shoulder to cry on, has been a huge thing for the pair of us… and with Jacob [Batalon, his buddy in Spider-Man] as well. We really are a family.”
