SpiceJet cancels two evening departures from Shirdi, scores of passengers stranded, terminal lights switched off

MUMBAI: Scores of passengers were stranded at the Shirdi airport through the night after SpiceJet cancelled its flights to Delhi and Hyderabad on Wednesday evening citing bad weather conditions.

The flights__ SG952 and SG4006, that is__ couldn't take off later due to sunset restrictions at the Shirdi airport, said the SpiceJet spokesperson. Shirdi airport doesn't have night landing facilities which limit operations to day time.

Videos shot by disgruntled passengers showed tired passengers mill around at the airport terminal.
