
Fans of the Spice Girls were treated to a mini-reunion as Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm teamed up for a duet on stage in Leeds.
Mel C was at Project House in the city promoting her new album ‘Sweat’, when she invited her old bandmate up on stage for an impromptu performance.
The two sent concert-goers into overdrive by belting out a live rendition of 'Spice Up Your Life'.
Posting a clip of the performance online, Mel C write: "Good to be back with my Spice sister @officialmelb in Leeds, thank you for sharing the stage with me."
In the video, the two appeared to having the time of their lives together on stage, while a caption read: "What is actually happening?"
The duo channelled their Spice Girl alter-egos as Mel C donned a pair of tracksuit pants worthy of Sporty Spice, while Mel B opted for a suitably Scary crop top.
Mel B also shared a video of the pair on stage, as well as another picture of them embracing backstage.
She wrote: "Went to support my northern sister on the launch of her AMAZIN album SWEAT…. and she only ended up bloody gettin me on stage!
“LUV YOUUU and sooo proud of you @melaniecmusic !!! everyone go out stream order buy her album coz its AMAZIN and so is she!!!!”
In the video, Mel C treats her friend to a warm introduction on stage before they burst into song.
She begins with: "I have to stop because this is such a special moment."
"Don’t make me cry," Mel B pipes back. "We haven’t done this since 2019 girlfriend," Mel C then says, in a reference to the duo's 2019 Spice World Tour with Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell.
Fans were equally elated at seeing two of the Spice Girls perform on stage together, describing as "Queens" and "Divas of my life" on social media.
One wrote: "What freaking year are we in? Yall don’t age."
Another wrote: “ALOT of peoples hearts were full last night!”
A third added: “What an amazing night. Two absolute icons reunited. Life made!”
