Renaud becomes Hearts’ seventh signing of the summer and the second French addition confirmed on Wednesday, following the arrival of goalkeeper Sabir Guendouz.
He will link up with a growing French contingent at Tynecastle, including striker Amadou Ba-Sy, while Scottish wingers Calvin Miller and Josh McPake and centre-backs Malachi Fagan-Walcott and MJ Kamson-Kamara have also joined during a busy recruitment drive.
The midfielder is set to report to Oriam on Thursday as Hearts begin pre-season preparations ahead of a training camp in Spain and their upcoming Champions League qualifier against Sturm Graz.
The squad will also soon be working under new management, with Wouter Vrancken in Edinburgh and closing in on his appointment as head coach, alongside assistants Tim Smolders and Cederique Tulleners.
