Aberdeen have been hit with a 500-ticket reduction for the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Rangers after two incidents against Kilmarnock.
Stephen Robinson's side qualified for the Hampden semi-final after beating Kilmarnock on penalties at Rugby Park.
However, the Pittodrie club have been issued an SPFL punishment over a pyrotechnics display and pitch invasion during the quarter-final tie in Ayrshire.
Flares had been set off in the away end ahead of kick-off with supporters invading the pitch after the shoot-out victory.
As a result, Aberdeen have had a reduction of 500 tickets for the upcoming semi-final against Rangers, with the club required to cover the cost of the tickets as part of the disciplinary ruling.
A statement read: "The SPFL can confirm that Aberdeen have been sanctioned following the behaviour of the club’s supporters during their Premier Sports Cup quarter-final match, away at Kilmarnock.
"Proceedings into two separate serious incidents - a large scale organised and illegal pyrotechnics display, and a pitch incursion - at the club’s 1-1 draw at BBSP Rugby Park on 12 September, which Aberdeen won 3-1 on penalties, have now concluded.
"The club received the following sanction:
"(i) An immediate reduction of 500 tickets from the club’s ticket allocation for the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Rangers at Hampden Park on Saturday 31 October. The club is required to cover the cost of these tickets as part of this sanction."
