The SPFL have branded the use of pyrotechnics by Rangers supporters last night as "very concerning and unwelcome".
Players were taken off the pitch just two minutes into the delayed kick-off of the match between Dundee and Rangers due to the pyrotechnics display.
It's understood smoke alarms inside the stadium were set off by smoke from the devices.
Referee Kevin Clancy ordered the players off the pitch while the matter was resolved before Rangers ran out 5-0 winners at Dens Park.
Now, the SPFL have blasted the pyro display and vowed to work alongside Police Scotland on the incident with a delegate report yet to be received.
An SPFL spokesperson said: “The extensive use of pyrotechnics at the match at Dens Park is very concerning and unwelcome.
"The disruption to the game is obviously extremely regrettable.
"We await the delegate report and will be liaising with Police Scotland on the incident.”
