A County Durham thug "roundhouse" kicked a police officer before knocking a female officer unconscious after seeing his dad get Tasered.
Kielan Tallentire broke a police officer's thumb shortly after his violent dad had been Tasered, and went on to assault two more officers while being checked in at a police station. The 21-year-old punched an officer in the shoulder before pushing a female officer over, causing her to hit her head off the concrete floor and knocking her "momentarily unconscious".
Tallentire, of Middlestone Moor, Spennymoor, appeared at Durham Crown Court on Monday, via link from HMP Durham, to be sentenced for two counts of assaulting a police officer, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a class C drug. He pleaded guilty to the charges at a previous hearing.

Anthony Dunne, prosecuting, said police went to Tallentire's home on January 20 this year to arrest him over a burglary, which subsequently was not proceeded with. But when officers turned up, Tallentire's father became "violent", resulting in officers Tasering him. He said: "A police officer was attending to his father when the defendant was being brought outside. The officer was crouched down on the ground and could hear a commotion and footsteps coming down the stairs. The defendant appeared, being escorted by two officers, shouting 'get off my f****** father' and roundhouse kicked the officer towards his head. The officer dodged the kick but he was hit on the thumb."
Mr Dunne said that the officer was taken to hospital where it was discovered he had fractured his thumb. Tallentire was then taken to Darlington police station and "refused" to listen to his charges, instead walking away, saying "I'll give you another section 18". It was then that a scuffle broke out, with Tallentire punching an officer in the shoulder and shoving a female officer to the ground. The court heard the officer was "momentarily knocked unconscious" after she fell and hit her head off the floor. When Tallentire was restrained, 19 pregabalin tablets were found in his possession.
The court was told Tallentire had previous convictions for violence, including seven for assaulting or resisting police officers and an affray in 2018. In 2020, he was also jailed for 30 months for carrying out a robbery.
Tony Davis, defending, said Tallentire lived a "chaotic existence" and was "not proud of his record". He said: "He needs to break the cycle, his brushes with authority tend to escalate very quickly." He said Tallentire reacted "having seen his father Tasered and brought to the ground". Mr Davis added: "He reacts to that and an injury occurs."
Sentencing Tallentire, Judge James Adkin, the Recorder of Durham, jailed him for 20 months.
