GDQ staff have permanently banned a participant of the speedrunning marathon, after he admitted to playing a spliced recording of his DLC run instead of playing live.
Mekarazium, who ran Metal Gear Rising at the most recent event, has admitted to cheating by pre-recording his run and then playing the recording back, giving the illusion of a world record time. While he completed the base game live, he expressed disappointment at his time blaming sleep deprivation for his below average performance.
