A spectator in the Nottingham Forest stand is said to have made anti-Semitic gestures towards Tottenham Hotspur fans during a Premier League game. Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to following the racist incident, which took place during Forest's 2-0 loss at the City Ground on August 28.
Officers said the incident, reported just after 6pm, caused alarm, harassment, and distress. PC Dan Humphrey, who is investigating the incident, said: “Going to a football match should be a great day out whether you win or lose.
“Chants on the terrace and among opposing teams is part and parcel of the game, but there is a line that should not be crossed and this incident crosses that line. Racism has no place at a football match and we will investigate any incident that comes to our attention.
