The UK’s most spectacular dinosaur show is coming to Dundee this weekend.
Jurassic Earth is bringing full-size species along with various props and activities.
The amazing 80-minute show has wowed audiences across the world with its amazing animatronic models.
It features the UK’s most realistic dinosaurs – the cast and crew really bring these extinct creatures to life as Holly Willoughby and Ashley Banjo found out on ITV’s Dancing on Ice who when they were scared wittless by a full-size Raptor.
Show spokeswoman Erica Crompton can’t wait for Sunday’s show at the Whitehall Theatre.
She told Dundee Live: “Dundee is one of the finest cities in Scotland and our Dinosaurs can’t wait to cross the Historic Tay Rail Bridge and visit Whitehall Theatre.
“Due to Covid, the last time we were in Scotland was January 2020 when we visited Perth, so we are particularly excited to meet the people of Dundee.
“Scotland is known to have the friendliest of people so we expect to see a fully interactive audience of young and old Dinosaur fanatics.
“We are bringing along our young Pterodactyl Hatchling in the hope that he can learn from the University of Abertay’s study of ‘Evolution in Flight’ as he has yet to learn to fly.”
Jurassic Earth has 15 actors, puppeteers, operators and crew and put on an experience that starts as soon as customers enter the theatre.
Cast members roam the foyer on arrival and there are animatronics, props and giant Dinosaur Eggs for photo opportunities.
Erica added: “The Theatre Show is a compact, high-impact 80 minute performance featuring our biggest Dinosaurs and their babies and crazy Ranger characters in an incredible adventure.
“We keep the audience fully involved throughout the show and the Dinosaurs come as close up to the audience as allowed and the thrill is tremendous.”
And describing why dinosaurs never lose their appeal to a younger audience. She added: “They were the original ‘monsters’ that walked the planet.
“Humans have never seen these extinct creatures, so a realistic Dinosaur show such as Jurassic Earth allows children to imagine what it would be like if they existed today.”
