Cornerback Isaiah Bolden signed to the New England Patriots practice squad. The team confirmed the move on Friday.
Along with re-signing Bolden, the team also announced they had signed former Los Angeles Rams sixth-round draft pick linebacker Ochaun Mathis.
Bolden was released during the initial 53-man roster cuts. Along with Mathis, he now accounts for 15 players currently on the Patriots’ practice squad.
Mathis appeared in eight games on limited snaps last season and finished with two tackles and one quarterback hit.
Meanwhile, Bolden was drafted by the Patriots in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL draft. He suffered a season-ending injury during the Week 2 preseason contest against the Green Bay Packers last season.
The Patriots liked what Bolden brought to the table in terms of versatility, particularly on special teams. Coach Jerod Mayo even went as far as referring to him as a “special teams demon.”
After clearing waivers, CB Isaiah Bolden will sign to the #Patriots practice squad, per source.
The 2023 seventh-round pick is returning to Foxborough.

Bolden is a player with tremendous upside and potential. At the very least, he could add depth to the Patriots’ defensive backfield, while also contributing on special teams.
