Around a thousand people gathered at a special service to celebrate the inauguration of the new Bishop of Newcastle.
Right Reverend Dr Helen-Ann Hartley became the 13th Bishop of Newcastle on April 22 at a service held at Newcastle Cathedral.
Clergy from Newcastle Diocese, Church of England bishops, leaders from other faiths, and civic and political leaders from across the North East in attendance.
