Ireland is set to enjoy a sunny and warm weekend, meaning many of us will want to stock up on supplies in advance to enjoy the nice weather.
Ahead of the weekend, Ireland’s supermarkets have announced a range of special offers that can save you money.
Customers can cut costs by shopping around, with the likes of SuperValu, Dunnes, Aldi, Lidl and Tesco announcing cheap food, drink, household items and garden furniture.
To save you time, we’ve gathered the top bargains from a range of shops.
SuperValu
Anyone planning to make the most of the weather can nab garden furniture deals at SuperValu while stocks last. Customers can get a wooden bench with black frame for €45 (down from €70) or a pair of outdoor zero gravity chairs for €79 (worth €50 each) at certain stores.
The supermarket also has a flash deal with 70% off top-brand personal products including Lynx, Dove and Tresemme.
Some of its top food and drink offers for the weekend include 3 for €10 on a range of meat, 33% off certain wines (including the popular Kylie Minogue rose for €10) and a “lowest price guaranteed” on crates of beers including 15 packs for €24.85.
SuperValu also offers a Real Rewards card to earn points every time you shop.
Dunnes
Anyone thinking about a BBQ this weekend could head to Dunnes Stores, which is offering three for €10 on meat this weekend. Its ‘weekly wonders’ deals this week include price reductions on 1L MiWidi (€1.24) and some Kellogg’s cereals (€1.94).
The store also has half-price offers on top hair and skin care products from the likes of Pantene, Dove and Sure.
With the good weather on the way, customers can pick up some summer clothes bargains, including smart and casual men’s shirts from €20, and women’s denim cropped jeans from €15.
Shoppers also get €10 off their next shop every time they spend €50 in Dunnes.
Aldi
If you’re planning a road trip this weekend, Aldi have a range of motor and travel ‘special buys’ on offer. It includes a rear 3-bike carrier (€59.99), A 240L roof box (€129.99) and booster seats (€24.00).
This week’s ‘amazing grocery 6’ includes a 24 pack of nappies for 79c, Brannans wafer thin chicken/turley 200g for €1.49 and Atlantic wheaten bread for 79c.
Meanwhile, the discount retailer is this weekend advertising its range of rose wines, which are available from as little as €7.49.
Lidl
Lidl’s special offers this weekend include garden and pet specials. Among the highlights are a Scheppach high-pressure cleaner for €119.99 (down from €249), a hammock for €12.99, a wicker sun lounger for €119.99, a dog bed with sun shade for €14.99 (down from €22.99) and a cat ‘wellness centre’ for €24.99.
In terms of the food shop, customers can pick up 2 for €4 Pringles crisps, a single serve rib eye steak for €3.69 or Pomegranates for just 49c.
Lidl also offer a Lidl Plus app for extra savings on certain products, with this weekend’s deals including 33% of bacon, 20% of muesli and 25% off jumbo swiss rolls.
Tesco
If you’re looking to stock up on snacks, treats and drinks, Tesco have range on offer for just €1 each. These include Kit Kat Chunky 4 snacksize bars, big bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk and 1L MiWadi.
The supermarket also has a range of popular wines down to €8, including the likes of Gallow Family and Los Cardos.
Shoppers can use their Club Card for extra discounts on some products, including 3 for €10 on Tassimo coffee pods.
