Special Counsel Finds Insufficient Evidence To Prosecute President Biden

Joe Biden coming out of plane

During a recent congressional hearing, Special Counsel Robert Hur faced questioning from Representative Sheila Jackson-Lee regarding the investigation into President Joseph Biden's handling of classified information. Hur confirmed that the investigation was thorough and independent, involving 173 interviews with 147 witnesses, including a more than five-hour interview with President Biden himself.

The investigation also included the collection and review of 7 million documents, ranging from emails and text messages to classified materials. President Biden voluntarily allowed investigators to search his private residences, and the investigation involved coordination with multiple government agencies to ensure a comprehensive review.

Despite the extensive efforts, Hur stated that the investigation did not uncover enough evidence to recommend prosecution against President Biden. He emphasized that his judgment was based on the facts and that he operated independently throughout the investigation.

Representative Jackson-Lee highlighted the thoroughness of the investigation, noting that President Biden cooperated fully and provided handwritten answers to additional questions. Hur confirmed that the investigation spanned two days, during which President Biden also dealt with an international crisis.

Overall, the hearing shed light on the meticulous nature of the investigation led by Special Counsel Hur and the conclusion that there was insufficient evidence to pursue charges against President Biden.
