Angela Rayner hit out at the “sexist slurs” aimed at her as the editor of The Mail On Sunday refused a meeting with the Commons Speaker to discuss an article in his newspaper about the deputy Labour leader.
Speaker Sir Lindsay told MPs on Monday he had arranged a meeting with The Mail On Sunday’s David Dillon following an outcry over claims the Labour deputy leader crossed and uncrossed her legs during Prime Minister’s Questions to distract Boris Johnson.
