Johnson recently attended the House Republicans' annual member retreat at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, where he emphasized the importance of avoiding internal conflicts that could further fragment the party. He expressed his strong opposition to member-on-member primary challenges, citing their counterproductivity and divisive nature.
