Michigan State football has expressed interest in a transfer edge rusher from the SEC.
Pete Nakos of On3 is reporting that Michigan State is one of a few schools that have been in contact with South Carolina transfer edge rusher Bangally Kamara. According to Nakos, Cal, SMU, Syracuse and Toledo have also been in contact with him.
Kamara recently entered the transfer portal after a short stint with the Gamecocks. He recorded nine tackles this year for South Carolina.
Prior to playing for South Carolina, Kamara played four seasons for Pitt where he appeared in 48 games with the Panthers. He will redshirt this season and have one year of eligibility remaining.
