NEW DELHI: The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has fired Jorge Vilda, the coach of the women's national team, following the controversy surrounding a kiss on the lips given by the RFEF president to player Jenni Hermoso during celebrations after the World Cup victory.

This decision was made by a new board formed after FIFA suspended RFEF President Luis Rubiales over the alleged non-consensual kiss, which has sparked a national debate on women's rights and sexist behavior.
