The teams will go head-to-head in the Champions League semi-finals and fans have been enjoying the city centre ahead of tonight's game. Liverpool John Lennon Airport has confirmed that eight Villareal fan flights are arriving throughout the day from Valenica and Castellon.

So far, fans have been spotted singing The Beatles' 'Yellow Submarine' and have left a scarf on the John Lennon statue on Mathew Street.

Live updates as fire sends thick black smoke into sky in Ellesmere Port

Footage shared online shows black smoke above a fire in Ellesmere Port.

Firefighters are tackling a fire within an outbuilding at a company on Oil Sites Road. The main gas and electricity supplies have been isolated and the fire is being fought using foam.

It is believed that the fire is in a building at the Innospec manufacturing plant in Wirral.

Mum dies at cold water therapy camp loved by Coleen Rooney and Stephen Graham

A woman has died following cold water therapy at a camp used by celebrities including Stephen Graham and Coleen Rooney.

The 39-year-old, who has not been named, was pulled from the water at Breatheolution in Buxworth, Derbyshire on Monday, April 25. It is believed that the mum, from Manchester, had been acclimatising to the cold water.

Derbyshire Police said in a statement: "Several officers attended. Paramedics took the 39-year-old woman to hospital but she was later pronounced dead. There are no suspicious circumstances and we are preparing a file for the coroner."
