A nine-month-old puppy was rescued after falling half-way down a cliff face in Yate Quarry. Nellie, a Spaniel, had been out for her evening walk with her owner at the quarry when she became trapped on the cliff-side.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service were called to the quarry at approximately 4.30pm on Friday, April 14. Crews from Yate and Southmead, as well as specialist rope rescue crews from Temple attended.
Working closely together, the teams used rope rescue skills to rescue Nellie and bring her back safely to her owner.
