Spain vs Italy prediction and odds ahead of UEFA Nations League clash

Spain and Italy will both be looking to get their Euro 2024 qualifying campaigns back on track when they meet in the Nations League semi-finals. The Spanish have had a difficult start to their qualifying campaign, with new manager Luis de la Fuente coming under pressure after a 2-0 defeat to Scotland.

La Furia Roja are the favourites going into this match at 6/5 with Betfred while their Italian counterparts are 11/5 to progress through to the final and a draw is 2/1.

Italy did manage to get a 3-0 win over Norway in his first game in charge, but it was far from convincing. Meanwhile, Italy have been looking to make amends for missing out on Qatar 2022, and they got off to a poor start with a 2-1 home defeat to England. However, they followed that up with a comfortable 2-0 win in Malta and will be hoping to build some momentum ahead of their qualifiers with North Macedonia and Ukraine.

The Azzurri have been in a period of renaissance, with three Serie A sides making it to European finals this season, and Roberto Mancini will be looking to restore the feelgood factor surrounding his side with success in the Nations League.

With hosts Netherlands out after suffering a 4-2 defeat after extra-time to Croatia, both Spain and Italy will be desperate for a win when they meet in the Nations League semi-finals, and it promises to be an intriguing encounter.

Tips

  • Under 2.5 goals - 4/7
