Tourists heading to Spain are being warned about a travel rule not many people know about.
Scores of holidaymakers visit Spain and the surrounding islands every year. However, many may be unaware of the rule that requires you to have £93 a day.
Spanish officials have been asking visitors to prove they have a return or onward ticket and pre-booked accommodation - a hotel booking confirmation, or proof of address if you're visiting friends or staying in your own property. The spot checks mean you could also be asked to prove you have sufficient financial means for the duration of your trip. It's unlikely but it could happen.
