Brits have been warned that they may be subject to additional checks at the Spanish border. The Foreign Office has updated its advice on Spain's entry rules.
Those heading to Spain for a summer holiday in the sun should be aware that they may need to produce three additional documents when entering the country. UK citizens are now permitted to use the e-gates at Spanish border control if “instructed to do so by airport staff”.
However, Brits entering the country will now need proof of a return or onward ticket, enough money for their stay, and proof that you have somewhere to stay in Spain. In addition to this they will also need to prove they meet the Covid-19 entry requirements, detailed below.
