Spain clarifies new money rule as Scots told they have to spend £85 a day

Spain has clarified rules around spending money when visiting the country on holiday, as Scottish holidaymakers feared they wouldn't be allowed to enter.

The Liverpool Echo previously reported that tourists may need to prove they have sufficient funds to spend at least £85 a day in order to cover their stay. The UK Foreign Office updated this travel advice back in July, the Express reported.
