Southampton Football Club announced on Wednesday that the contract of interim coach Ruben Selles will not be renewed after the conclusion of the season. The decision comes following the team's relegation from the Premier League.
Spanish coach Selles, aged 39, assumed the role of interim coach after the dismissal of Nathan Jones on February 12. Jones was let go due to a string of disappointing results, with Southampton suffering nine defeats in 14 matches and finding themselves at the bottom of the league table with 18 points.
